not the first time in bangkok
as one of my business PROPS leads me here 2 to 4 times a year.
but i still get excited every time!

these pictures were taken by my mom, who joined me for this trip.
forgive the slightly blurry pictures.

let me give you some tips upon arriving in bangkok:

{ 1 }
be sure to print the address in thai and english the name of the hotel you will be staying
as this will be the easiest way for you to communicate
especially if it's your first time in the area
and not all thai's are fluent in english.
you may also do so with the other areas or places you would wish to visit.

{2}
always find the public transport area where metered taxis are waiting.
keep in mind these are metered taxis, so don't let them charge you any other way!
you will be given a slip before getting you will be given a designated taxi,
hold on to that, as it will be very useful if you have complaints.
their complaint forms are more useful than what we have here in the philippines.
it says in the slip though, that you would need to pay
an additional THB50.00 over your meter rate
plus toll fees if it applies.

{ 3 }
tuktuks are most popular in bangkok,
but i strongly suggest not to ride them,
they could charge more than metered taxis especially to foreigners.
well, you could ride once just for kicks and photo ops, but that's it!
better ride a taxi or take the sky train.

this doesn't end the bangkok tips & tricks, stay tuned!

tnt!
